Know exactly what's wrong with your system, in 2–4 days
Your site is slow, the server goes down now and then, the original developers are gone, and you're not sure what to fix first. I check the code, server, database and backups, then send you a written report that sorts the work into three groups: fix now, plan for, leave alone. You decide what happens next after reading it.

A Health Check is for you if

What's in the report
- Current risks and anything that needs urgent attention.
- Code and libraries: what's outdated, what has known vulnerabilities, which parts are fragile.
- Server, deployment, SSL, domain and backups, including whether a backup has ever been restored.
- Database: slow queries, missing indexes, risky table design (if I'm given access).
- A list of what to do, in 3 groups: fix now, plan, leave it.
- Rough time and cost estimates for the next steps.

- If you continue with me, the review fee is credited toward the repair work.
- Doesn't include penetration testing, a formal security audit or compliance certification.

You grant just enough access to read the code, server and database. I'll show you how to share it safely, never by plain message.

2–4 days of checks
I look and measure. I don't change anything on the live system during the check unless you agree.

Your report
I send the report and walk you through it. Then it's your call: fix it yourself, continue with me, or hire someone else.

FAQ
Common questions
Does the Health Check fix things too?
No. It finds the problems and puts them in order. If I spot something urgent, like an SSL certificate about to expire, I tell you straight away rather than waiting for the report.
I'm not technical. Will I understand the report?
Yes. Each item starts with what it means for the business, then the technical detail for whoever does the work. I also walk you through it when I send it.
What kinds of systems can you check?
Websites, internal apps or APIs running on a VPS or in the cloud, usually with MySQL or PostgreSQL. Each check covers one application and the server it runs on. If your system uses technology I don't know well, I'll say so up front.
If I continue, is the Health Check fee lost?
If you continue with me, the Health Check fee is deducted from the cost of the fix.
Do we sign a contract?
Yes. Before any work starts, the scope, cost, timeline and how the work is signed off are put in writing. I'm happy to sign an NDA as well if you need one.
How do you keep code and data safe?
I only ask for the access the job needs and give it back at handover. How data is handled and an NDA are agreed before we start. Please don't send passwords or API keys through the form on this page.
